Today is a special day. It’s International Bereaved Mother’s Day.
Did you know Mother’s day was founded by a woman named Anna Jarvis?
She started it to honor her mother Ann who experienced the death of 7 of her children.
Now it has become commercialized to sell chocolates and flowers.
No one recognizes the bereaved mothers, the ones who lost their children.
So today is a temporary movement, to say hey, I’m a mother and I matter.
If you know someone who lost a child, call them and tell them you love them. Tell them you remember their child. You have no idea how big your small gesture can be!
